Happy World Soil Day

Organised by the Foreign Languages Department, there were numerous activities held at Çevre College with the aim of emphasizing the importance of soil on World Soil Day. Firstly, all the students as well as the teachers were dressed in green and brown to attract attention to the colour of soil and vegetation. Kindergarteners prepared banners and made necklaces whereas 2^nd graders wrote slogans and displayed them on their classroom doors.  3^rd graders wrote poems entitled ‘This Land’ while 4^th graders decorated their classroom doors with leaves and trees; 5th graders decorated the classroom doors and designed costumes; 6^th graders designed logos regarding the Soil Day. What’s more? 7^th graders displayed the t-shirts they designed and High School Prep Classes and 9^th graders made presentations and videos to raise awareness on the issue. The highlight of the event was the show of human trees designed by 10^th graders, who entertained everyone with their witty sense of humour.
