Turkish education in our school is studied as a complete program starting from the prep classes of kindergarten till the last year of high school considering the needs of our education system.
Our goal in Turkish Language and Literature is to educate individuals, who have the skill to express feelings and ideas correctly, are perfect in written and spoken language, have acquired the reading as a habit, and can head for sources to gain information. With the idea of aware readers in mind, we analyze novels, which we have chosen from different categories and introduce our students to different authors and poets by studying story and poem anthologies.
Our lessons are supported by many different kinds of activities such as group work, drama, presentations, researches, writing reports and narratives and debates. Students are measured by performance and project tasks besides written evaluations.In the lessons for all levels, we apply relevant programmes for our students to be successful in the common exam which is held by the Ministry Of Education in the 8th grade. We organize class and school debates, book festivals, conversations and interviews with authors, poetry recitations, competitions that provide our students a chance to express themselves in public.
Literature and drama culture is given by goings to theaters, visiting bookshops and fairs and meeting well-known Turkish authors, poets, journalists and actors.

High School Turkish Language and Literature Department
The main purpose of Turkish Language and Literature lessons in our school is to educate students who have national and moral values, are tolerant, can produce ideas in the face of national and world problems, have advanced language skills and are culturally equipped.
The curriculum subjects are taught by teaching the distinguished works of literature without distorting the characteristics of the Turkish language with the books chosen in parallel with the subjects. It is aimed for the students to present the knowledge gained from listened to (interviews with writers and poets, panels), watched (theaters, movies), and all books read during the academic year within the rules of verbal and written expression, adopting the indispensable need of reading and gaining the pleasure and habit of reading.
While giving a general language and literature culture in Turkish and Turkish Language and Literature lessons, being successful in the university entrance exam is another goal, so an intensive exam preparation program is carried out.
Good speaking and creative writing activities are carried out under the responsibility of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature; book fairs, author talks, poetry recitals, debate tournaments, theater and museum tours are organized.
