Unbreakable Dreams

Dr. Nilay Yılmaz, the author of the book ‘’Unbreakable Dreams’’ that approaches Children's Rights issues with valid life situations and possible solutions, shared her ideas with our 3rd grade students. Her interactive presentation was informative and entertaining and afterwards the students were given the chance to ask questions.

We integrated the presentation about Children’s Rights issues with interdisciplinary studies and used it as a part of civic education. We carried out activities that helped our students to develop intellectually through activities such as reading, coloring, cutting and pasting, and the pop-up activity book. We read the book with applications that will broaden the lines between stories with critical thinking and creative thinking.
