5th GRADERS – DIGITAL LITERACY
Beyond only using digital devices, having digital literacy allows one to be active in the digital world and access accurate information in this environment. It also facilitates the comprehension, analysis, production, and dissemination of data.
6th GRADERS – LEARING GOOD MANNERS
Çevre College educates students as self-confident citizens who will reach a respectful place in the society in the future. In the series of ‘Good Manners’ workshops for 6th grade, students are taught about proper behaviour in different situations. Their attention is focused on the dress code depending on place and time and proper behaviour at a table and many other aspects of appropriate manners in various circumstances.
7th GRADERS – SPEED READING AND COMPREHENSION
Speed reading is to improve one’s ability to read more words quickly in a short time. It not only means reading the words in the text quickly but also comprehending the text in a quick and better way. Human eyes work slower than the human brain.That’s why it is not easy for the eyes to transfer the information to the brain properly while reading fast. Speed reading training aims to develop the balance and the coordination between the eyes and the brain. This training also improves the capacity of the brain at a crucial level while reading. With speed reading training applied in our school, 7th grade students have an opportunity to not only gain important skills for reading, understanding long texts quickly and accurately but also to learn how to store the information in their permanent memory.
8th Grades - GOAL SETTING & TIME MANAGEMENT
It seeks to enable students to set goals for both their academic and social lives, manage their time effectively, concentrate, and take initiative as they strive towards these goals.
