First Place Winner in Istanbul Poetry Competition
Organised by Istanbul Provincial Directorate for National Education, our 11C student Beycan Dağci came first in the poetry competition titled ‘Towards the 100th Anniversary of the Walk for Independence’. The awards were presented to the winners with an official ceremony in Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall on May 19. Since Beycan Dağcı was in England to represent our country in ESU Public Speaking Contest, his classmate Tuna Şendil voiced his poem at the ceremony.
