Destination Imagination Poland 2019
From 27.02. till 4.03. this year, 18 students from the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades represented our school in the International Destination Imagination Creativity Festival which was held in Wroclaw, Poland. Every year, hundreds of teams from Poland and other countries participate in that amazing event. The students from our school were accompanied by their English teacher Margaret Işıklar, Science teachers Gülnihal Yıldırım and Funda Sarıkurt as the Team Managers.
At the Opening ceremony of the festival our students were proud to represent their country and school, walking in the parade together with teams from different countries.
During the festival the students also presented their Team Challenges (short dramas), and also performed a short dance show with a Turkish song on stage. All performances were very successful.
The students also took part in the Buddy Team Challenge which combined two teams from different countries and involved solving a challenge together. They also participated in Instant Challenges and workshops which gave them an opportunity to practise their creativity and teamwork again. It was a great experience overall.
Seeing some interesting places in Wroclaw was another exciting experience.
Additionally, this time the students had the opportunity to visit Cracow – Poland’s former capital and still one of the most famous historical places protected by UNESCO.
