Çevre College in the Balkans
At Çevre Middle School, we prioritize not only helping our students achieve academic success but also creating meaningful memories in their educational journeys. In this context, we believe that international projects, trips, and museum visits enhance our students’ ability to think scientifically, improve their foreign language skills, and expose them to diverse cultures. Aligned with this vision, we have organized a trip titled Following Atatürk’s Footsteps in the Balkans for our 7th and 8th-grade students, taking place from November 12-15 and covering Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Greece.
Throughout this journey, we will explore cities such as Sofia, Skopje, Ohrid, Bitola, Thessaloniki, and Kavala, reinforcing the objectives of our history and social studies curriculum while tracing the legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, across the Balkan region. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to study historical monuments that hold significance in both Turkish and global history, examining sites that reflect the shared heritage of humanity. This trip will also allow us to closely observe the lasting influence of the Ottoman Empire, which ruled the region for five centuries.
